The Ali’i is shaped by one of Hawaii’s premier surfing pioneers, Donald Takiyama. The shape has been derived from Takiyama’s proven long board experience. This board is known for its nose riding ability. The board features a V-bottom towards the tail which helps with rail to rail transitions and turning on the way. The Ali’i’s concaved nose allows the board to accelerate quickly on top of the water.
